Pediatric Respiratory Failure Simulation Lab- CRNA Only (1 Class A CE)- (Additional Registration Fee Required)

This is a CRNA Only Simulation Lab. Additional Registration is Required. Registration can be found on the Annual Congress meeting registration page.

Participants will receive a presentation with a brief review of CRM principles, the use of cognitive aids and how to manage pediatric respiratory failure. They will then participate in a simulated perioperative pediatric respiratory failure event. The simulation will include a pre-brief and debrief.

NOTE- Seats for this session are limited to 15 attendees per hour time block. Therefore, you need to sign up in advance (additional registration fee required), via the registration page for the meeting, in order to hold your spot. If you sign up and do not plan to attend, please cancel your sign up so another attendee may obtain a spot.

  • Demonstrate effective crisis resource management principles (CRM) during a simulated pediatric respiratory failure event.
  • Demonstrate the use of a cognitive aid during a simulated pediatric respiratory failure event.
  • Apply the appropriate interventions to treat pediatric perioperative respiratory failure.
