John O'Donnell is the Program Director and Chair of the Department of Nurse Anesthesia at the University of Pittsburgh which he founded in 2014, Dr. O'Donnell has been a CRNA for 33 years and has published and presented extensively during his career. He is recognized as an international simulation expert, holds CHSE certification, was one of the first CRNAs to be recognized as a Fellow of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare and teaches simulation faculty development courses around the world. He is also very involved in Nurse Anesthesia accreditation and is currently the President of the COA.
