Derrick C. Glymph, PhD, DNAP, lives in Holly Spring, NC. He serves as an Associate Professor and Clinical Education Coordinator at Duke University School of Nursing, in the Nurse Anesthesia Program, Doctor of Nursing Program. He holds a PhD in Nursing Science from the University of South Florida and a Doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia Practice from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Dr. Glymph's research focuses on low-threshold treatment interventions and health equity for individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD). With over 50 publications and scholarly works, he is actively engaged in advancing science in this critical area.
Furthermore, Dr. Glymph's expertise and leadership extend to his service on the Board of Directors for the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists and his participation on the editorial boards of several academic journals.
In recognition of his contributions to the nursing field, Dr. Glymph is a double fellow of both the American Academy of Nursing and the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiologists. Additionally, he has served in the Army Reserve for three decades, achieving the rank of Colonel.
