Mike is a seasoned registered nurse and paramedic with over two decades of service. His work in various high-risk settings, from wildland firefighting to air medical transport, has inspired a keen interest in human factors, crisis resource management, and simulation-based education. Currently a senior RRNA at Virginia Commonwealth University, his doctoral project explores the use of psychological skills training to enhance healthcare providers’ performance during high-stress clinical encounters.
