This session is part of the "Airway on Demand: Difficult Airway Workshop". Additional registration is required for this workshop. Please visit the registration desk for further information.
Attendees of this program will be exposed to both didactic and hands-on learning opportunities aimed at reinforcing learned knowledge and skills, as well as providing the opportunity for new learning, related to airway management under both normal and emergent conditions. This is an immersive hybrid course with six hours of didactic lectures online and four hours of hands-on instruction.
This workshop is for CRNAs interested in developing their skills and knowledge of airway management.
Participants will engage in dynamic sessions focusing on practical applications. From deciphering the intricacies of difficult airway decision-making to hands-on demonstrations, attendees will have the opportunity to refine their skills and techniques. Through the AANA, this workshop promises an enriching experience, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application under the expert guidance of Dr. William Rosenblatt.
Ten (10) total Class A CE credits are available for this course. To receive all credits available, please note the following:
Part 1: This course will include six (6) hours of online video learning to be completed prior to the in-person hands-on session. The lectures are a comprehensive discussion of difficult airway management concepts and instrumentation. The online modules will be available to attendees in the month leading up to the hands-on session in San Diego. Each learner will receive a unique code and URL for accessing the videos. To earn the 6 Class A CE credits available, learners must score 80% or greater on a post-course assessment (three attempts allowed).
Part 2: The hands-on workshop will occur at the AANA’s 2024 Annual Congress in San Diego, CA. The four-hour workshop uses models to demonstrate and apply skills. Upon completion of the workshop and completion of the course evaluation, to claim 4 Class A CE for attending, participants must fill out the Program Evaluation available in the conference mobile app. The evaluation will be available for 30 days.
Note: Upon completion of the online and workshop components of the course the participant will receive individual certificates of completion.
To ensure that the workshop content met both knowledge and skill sets associated with competencies and curriculum expectations, we’re requesting participants to engage in a brief follow up survey 6 months after the workshop. This will help the AANA measure the change in practice performance that is associated with an educational intervention.
