Tracheal stenosis remains a confounding and intimidating issue in anesthesia. One major complication of tracheal stenosis surgery could be airway perforation, leading to respiratory mortality. This presentation will review common and trending etiologies of tracheal stenosis, as well as intraoperative management review and case scenarios.

Discuss common and trending etiologies of tracheal stenosis, as well as its diagnostic tools and presentation.
Identify presentation and management of intraoperative airway perforation.
Understand anesthetic management of tracheal stenosis and perforation with a variety oxygenation strategies, airway tools, hemodynamic management, and preparation for extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
