Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences
Erica Allender is a senior SRNA at Mayo Clinic's DNAP Program. She worked on Mayo's cardiovascular surgical ICU for four years before beginning the program, and she will graduate this coming January. She is passionate about whole-person provider well-being at work and conducted her doctoral research project with her classmate Sophia Bottema on the prevalence of the second victim phenomenon among respiratory therapists. She hopes that continued research in this area will increase awareness of the need for whole-person care for those in healthcare who frequently experience difficult events in their work.
