Amy Yerdon has been a CRNA since 2011. She has many years of experience providing anesthesia in a busy, high-acuity OR in a level-1 trauma center, managing quality improving projects, and teaching in the clinical settings. She completed her DNP in 2020 at Texas Christian University. She has been the Assistant Professor and Assistant Program Director for the University of Alabama at Birmingham Nurse Anesthesia Program since 2021. While maintaining her clinical practice, Amy's passions include major abdominal surgery, intraoperative hemodynamic management and goal-directed therapy, substance use disorder, and clinical preceptor education. She has served as a committee member, Director, and Professional Development Committee Chair for the Alabama Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
