This presentation intends to elevate the airway management skills of anesthesia providers with focused attention to surgical airway skills namely the scalpel-bougie front of neck access technique. This presentation is divided into 3 sections. First, the presentation will use evidence-based medicine to describe the persistent technical gaps with airway management and its impact on morbidity and mortality. Second, the presentation will discuss the scalpel-bougie front of neck access surgical airway technique. Third, the presentation will discuss a streamlined workshop for teaching this technique to anesthesia providers at their home institution.
